NEW! – Middle School All-State Prep
We’ve just decided to add an All-State session to each camp day, beginning at 8am. If your student is considering auditioning for All-State or All-County, we will spend the 8:00 hour focusing on excerpts, scales, and audition prep. Even though the auditions are not until September, nearly all the students who make the ensembles begin practicing and preparing in May when the requirements are released. Due to the extra time, we are asking all All-State Prep participants to add $20 to their total camp cost. Student must be signed up for the full camp in order to participate in the All-State Prep sessions.
A limited number of concert instruments are available for use over the summer! Instruments will be issued on a first-come,
first-served basis Thursday afternoon after Mini-Camp ends for the day.Students will be given an Instrument Checkout Form to bring home and complete before an instrument can be taken. Please see our page on Financial Information for info regarding instrument rental fees.
Students who play tuba, French horn, or baritone will be issued a school-owned marching instrument on the first day of
Mini-Camp. Students who wish to play bass clarinet may also be issued an instrument during mini-camp, but may not take it home for the summer
as they need to be serviced for the upcoming season. Please e-mail Mr. Krahn with any instrument questions.

Wind Symphony to Perform at the Southern Division College Band Directors National Associaton Conference
The West Orange Wind Symphony was selected to perform at the 2016 CBDNA Southern Division Conference, a regional conference held in conjunction with the National Band Association. The conference will be held on February 18-20, 2016 in Charleston, SC. They are one of only three high school bands in the region selected to perform, and are glad to share that honor with two other Florida bands: Orange County's very own Timber Creek High School and Mr. Krahn's alma mater, Douglas Anderson School of the Arts in Jacksonville. We consider this a great honor and wonderful opportunity to make music in a very special way.

The West Orange Jazz Ensemble I was selected to perform at the 68th Midwest Clinic (2015), an international band and orchestra conference held every December in Chicago.
